What is your SEO Expertise Level?

I just finished taking SEOmoz’s SEO Quiz and got the following results…

SEO Dark Lord - 92%

Are you an SEO Expert?

The Quiz was pretty challenging and I learned a few new things from taking it such as the existence of the robots-nocontent tag and the most popular search engine in various countries. I’m sure even if you are an SEO expert you’ll have hard time answering some of the questions in this quiz. If you take the test please share your thoughts and results.

Good job, Chris. I only got 70%, but I wouldn’t consider myself an SEO expert anyway.

Happened upon your site because you followed me on twitter. Looks like we got the exact same score. Congrats! I’m impressed, how long have you been into SEO?

I am pretty proud of my score. I’ve been doing SEO for almost three years now. About two years on my own, and most of the last year for http://www.agentsofvalue.com. How about you Rob?

I just finished taking the test. And the result of my quiz was obviously true. ^_^ I am an SEO Novice.

The quiz was really really hard for me.
And in fairness Chris, your score is really high.
Good job! :-)

Congrats Chris, you’re a real SEO pro! :-)

But for persons like Reah, who is an SEO Novice, there are programs that can improve your Search Engine rankings without you knowing much about SEO.

For example, there’s a software called RaSof (available at http://www.RaSof.com). According to James Brausch, the creator of Rasof, “RaSof can help improve your Search Engine ranking by 40%”.

RaSof analyzes your site and suggests different ways to increase the ranking of your pages.

Another useful software (from http://www.Nemeas.com) is Nemeas — a Site Ranking software. Nemeas rates your pages, and shows where your page stands in relation to other pages.

Using these programs you can increase the ranking of your pages in the major search engines. And they are so easy to use that you don’t need to know too much about SEO and all that.

So Reah, I’d recommend you try softwares like the above (to begin with). Then, as you learn more about SEO, you could further manually tweak your pages to make them go even higher!

One thing about SEO is the constance changes that takes dedication to keep up on your reading to maintain and advance your skill set. It just doesn’t happen over night to become an expert, it sometimes requires us to take a good look at ourselves to know our limits.
